How to Request a Certificate

What We Need

To issue an accurate certificate, please provide:

• Certificate holder name — the entity requiring the certificate (often a general contractor, landlord, or client)
• Certificate holder address
• Project or contract reference, if applicable
• Additional insured language — if the certificate holder must be named as additional insured, include the exact wording or contract excerpt
• Waiver of subrogation — specify if required
• Limits required, if different from your standard program
• Email address where the certificate should be sent

Timing

Most certificates are issued the same business day, often within one to two hours of request. If you need a certificate for a bid deadline or job start, let us know the timing and we'll prioritize.

Additional Insured Endorsements

A certificate of insurance is informational. If a contract requires the certificate holder to be named as additional insured, that requires an endorsement to the policy itself — not just a notation on the certificate. We handle the endorsement filing as part of the certificate request when contractual language requires it.

Recurring Certificates

If you maintain ongoing certificates for recurring clients, GCs, or landlords, let us know and we'll set up automatic renewal so each new policy period generates updated certificates without you having to request them.
